All of us at the Olpe Fire Department wish to extend a big thank you to our community and those beyond who attended and enjoyed our annual evening Firemen’s BBQ during downhome on July 11. Your generous support made the whole event a huge success for our department.
Another big thank you goes out to Leo Brown who donated two butcher hogs which were raffled off during the street dance. The four lucky tickets drawn went to Charlie and Marie Haag, Larry and Susan Haag, Phil Poe and Kenny Webb. They each won a half hog processed at the Olpe Locker.
The proceeds from this event will help us purchase needed equipment and furnishings for our new fire station.
Lastly, I extend a huge thank you to all the firefighters and their families who setup, cooked, worked the dinner booth, cleaned up and sold raffle tickets. It is the excellent dedication and teamwork from every one of you that makes our annual BBQ a success every year.
