The Americus United Methodist Church will sponsor a Back to School Carnival from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday. Fun for everyone will include a clown, baked goods, fun photos, train rides, carnival games, a bounce machine, entertainment, food and drinks.
Recycle trailer
Dates for the recycle trailer to be located south of the Americus Grade School are Wednesday and Aug. 19.
Tournaments
As part of the Americus Days celebration Oct. 3, poker and pool tournaments will be held in The New Breck. Sign-ups are currently being taken.
Planning meeting
The Americus Days Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday in The New Breck.
