The July 26 meeting of the Happy Harvesters 4-H Club at the Madison City Park was called to order by president Linden Stueve. The flag salute and 4-H pledge were led by Devin Arndt and Katelyn Schulz.
Twenty-eight members, 18 adults and three leaders answered the roll call, “What was the best part of your summer?” Club leader Marilyn Stueve announced all fair tickets and money should be turned in, record books are due in September, and people need to sign up for fair diner shifts. The club is responsible for working the fair diner during the Ranch Rodeo and Mud-a-thon.
Diana Windle mentioned that those interested in the 4-H Exchange Trip need to call the extension office. Mark Samuels asked those needing help in shearing sheep to call him. Twenty-three project talks were given about what members were taking to the fair.
The meeting was adjourned and all enjoyed a hot dog roast and swim at the Madison City Pool. The next meeting will be a Sonic Party on Aug. 10 after fair cleanup.
