Several weeks ago, I took Mr. Kelley to task on an editorial. Today I wanted to say that I could not agree more with his item on July 7 about the Fourth of July.
The Twin Rivers Festival was a highlight for my kids as they grew up here. I too hope that it can continue to revive. I thank all those patriots who spent their time to make it nice for us--to the city for putting outstanding fireworks on that more than made up for last year not having any and to the local churches who were nice enough to open up their parking lots for free to all of us. We appreciate everyone who put all the events on. It was great.
Also to Mr. Leonard Wagner, I thank you for your most kind words in The People Speak on July 7. It meant a lot to me.
