EHS tennis finishes 7th at Valley Center
Emporia High’s tennis team finished ninth out of 10 teams on Saturday at a meet at Valley Center.
Saul Trujillo finished seventh for the Spartans in No. 1 singles, and the No. 2 doubles team of Austin Heavener and Nic Hrabik also had a seventh place finish. Jimmy Mongkhonvilay at No. 2 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of Hayden Hanson/Todd Koelsch both went winless on the day. EHS finished with six team points; Maize won the meet with 36.
Spartan golf postponed
Emporia High’s scheduled golf tournament today in Topeka has been postponed. No makeup date has been set. The EHS soccer team’s match at Topeka West will be played as scheduled.
