The Emporia State track and field team had five provisional qualifying marks from the Sooner Invitational on Saturday in Norman, Okla., in the final competition before the MIAA Championships.
Jaclyn Sill ran the 400 meters in 55.77 seconds, which ranks fourth on the Division II charts this season. Connie Philips added another provisional mark in the women’s javelin, throwing 140 feet, 7 inches to place second to Oklahoma’s Katelyn Penner.
