Emporia Schools
BREAKFAST
Monday: pancake on a stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Tuesday: Little Smokies with Texas toast and jelly or cereal and graham cookies.
Wednesday: frosted long john and mozzarella cheese stick or cereal and graham cookies.
Thursday: pizza or cereal and graham cookies.
Friday: cereal bar and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.
LUNCH
Monday: cheeseburger on a bun, fries, baby carrots with dip, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: pepperoni pizza, tossed salad, strawberries, vanilla wafers.
Wednesday: crispitos, nacho chips with cheese, tossed salad, banana.
Thursday: chicken strips, cheesy potatoes, dinner roll, corn, peach half.
Friday: Bosco sticks, marinara sauce, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cookie. Cookouts at Walnut and Village schools.
Juice and milk are served with breakfast; milk is served with lunch.
Friendship Meals
EMPORIA
Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.
Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: hamburger and cheese casserole, peas, wheat bread, Watergate salad.
Tuesday: chicken and rice, stewed tomatoes, wheat bread, cinnamon apples.
Wednesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, wheat bread, mandarin oranges.
Thursday: pork chop supreme, winter-mix vegetables, wheat roll, fruit cup.
Friday: chicken-fried chicken, parsley potatoes, mixed vegetables, wheat bread, fruit cocktail.
NORTH LYON COUNTY
Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.
Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.
These meals will be served next week.
Monday: goulash, peas, wheat bread, mandarin oranges.
Tuesday: roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, carrots, hot roll, cherry cheesecake.
Wednesday: hamburger on a bun, lettuce, pickle, onion, pasta salad with vegetables, cherry crisp.
Thursday: oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, hot roll, apple cake.
Friday: May menu not available.
F Menus are provided by the senior meal programs and the Emporia school district.
