Batteries target of thieves

Local law enforcement is seeking information regarding several reports of thefts of batteries and damage to lights in residential areas.
Between April 17 and 18, the suspects damaged or stole the batteries from numerous yard lights, some were solar and some were hard wired. The batteries in some cases were stolen and broken lights found in the victims’ yards, discarded or left in the neighborhood.

Don't they use batteries to make meth? That's a weird thing to take unless it's kids just being destructive for no reason.

They took top part which includes the light bulbs and the batteries from mines, perhaps they needed replacements for theirs...hopefully they get caught.

I wonder if they can get anything for them at the metal recycling center, especially the solar cells? What a crappy thing to do...hope they get caught.
