Emporia State coach Garin Higgins had a player from his past who helped take him to a National Championship and one from the future that he hopes will bring him similar success as guests at Friday’s spring football game.
Patrick Crayton, a Dallas Cowboys receiver, made the drive up to watch his old coach’s team. Crayton played for Higgins at Northwestern Oklahoma State and helped lead the Rangers to two national championship games.
