Another 5 years

WE WISH TO express our appreciation to those who supported our efforts to deny parole for inmate Frank Pencek. Pencek is incarcerated for the kidnapping, rape and murder of our daughter, Liz Bush (age 20). Liz was abducted while working as a Rangerette at Milford State Park near Junction City.
The Kansas Parole Board has denied this inmate parole for an additional five years, until March 2014.

A perfect example of a woefully dysfunctional and ineffective judicial system. Why, using any possible rationale or excuse, would a barbaric predator who terrorized, raped, and brutally murdered an innocent 20 year old girl EVER be considered for parole?
The man should have long ago been executed and thrown out with the daily trash. How could any reasonable person think a man like this should ever be allowed to live among the public again?
Our society "puts down" animals that attack, injure, maim, or kill humans. Men who torture, rape, and kill women and children are animals. Don't house, feed, entertain, and coddle them for a few years then send them back into the general population to seek another innocent victim. Put them down.
I am so sorry for your loss, Mr. and Mrs. Bush. My heart sobs for you. I have a daughter about the age of yours yet I can't even imagine the heartache and pain you have endured.
Having this miscreant become eligible for parole (release) every five years must be equal to having your heart ripped out again each and every time. He should never be considered for parole, or even be alive to be considered.

Bj - I completely agree with you. I had never considered the comparison of the punishment we give to animals (who don't really "know" better) vs humans (who should know better!).
My heart goes out to the family who has to fight this fight every 5 years and be reminded of it. I'm glad they won the fight and hopefully will continue to.

This is a man who deserves a continuing rejection by th PB for his future freedom. He will never get out alive. I pray the family of the victim rests assured that law enforcement and society are with them and at no point will the PB, the governor or any body entertain Mr. Pencek's freedom without severe opposition. Since the appropriate sentence of death cannot be applied, it is only fitting that Pencek fully accept he is living a LWOP sentencek!
