Republican Women meetings
- The Lyon County Republican Women will meet for their monthly meeting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the home of Karen Hartenbower, 1857 Road 170 (call 342-0358 for directions). The speaker will be Randy Duncan, Republican candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, First District. The group is still collecting food items for the Salvation Army along with items for soldier boxes. Everyone is welcome.
- The April 8 spring meeting of the Santa Fe Trail Republican Women of North Lyon County has been rescheduled for May 13 at the same time, 1 p.m, and place, Allen Senior Center.
Lyon County Commission
The Lyon County Commission will meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday for a study session in the Lyon County Commission chambers of the Lyon County Courthouse, 430 Commercial St. Items on the agenda include a road an bridge update; chemical and window bids, purchase of computers for the jail; purchase of a filing system; and update from Lyon County District Court regarding capital outlay spending priorities.
