RICHARD MILLER, who opened a new office for Miller Financial Group at 2923 W. Highway 50. Miller did a complete renovation of the building.
• Emporia Kids Wrestling Club members Dalton Leek, Hunter Williams, Gabe Buckbee, Daniel Herrera, Isaac Williams, Max Detwiler, Garrett Whitson, Braxton Marstall, Blake Whitson, Damian Herrera, Osiel Garza, Bryce Dakin, Miguel Ayala, Chase Sanchez, Logan Gaskill, Nic Dikin and Skyler Carlson, who competed in the state wrestling meet at the Kansas Expocenter.
• Chelsie Chavez and Claudia Segura, who were named “Terrific Kids” by the Hi-Noon Kiwanis.
• Brad Hase, who opened the Mattress Outlet at 2914 W. Highway 50. The store will stock five lines of Spring Air mattresses.
• Boy Scout Troop 165, which cut and stacked seven cords of wood for Camp Alexander.
• Allen Liu, who opened a new sushi restaurant, Peking Express Sushi. The restaurant is at 1128 Merchant St.
• Northern Heights High School students James Crabtree and Jessica Dhority, who will compete in the Future Business Leaders of America national competition, and Kimberly Smith, who placed well at the state Family Career Community Leaders of America conference.
