Shetler

Authorities say an Emporia ma be linked to thefts of construction equipment in Junction City with a value of more than $150,000.

Eric Shetler, 26, and Edward Lashaun Graddick, 36, were stopped south on Junction City on Kansas Highway 77 just after 9:30 p.m. March 26, after officers saw them leave Junction City with a trailer and Bobcat stolen from two separate locations in the Geary County town, according to a news release from the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

The KBI was assisting the Junction City Police Department in investigating a rash of equipment thefts.

When stopped, authorities found the trailer, valued at $3,800, was stolen from Tim’s Auto Sales. The Bobcat, worth $22,000, was taken from a new contruction area off Spring Valley Road.

“Through continued investigation, it is believed Shetler may be linked to numerous thefts in Junction City over the last two years with an amount of loss exceeding $150,000,” the release stated.

The investigation continues with help from the Emporia Police Department, Lyon County sheriff’s office, Kansas Highway Patrol and Riley County Police Department.

According to the Kansas Department of Corrections, Shetler was released from prison in February 2003. He had served time for cases dating back to 1999. The 1999 case from Lyon County was for burglary of a dwelling. The remainder of Shetler’s convictions came in Saline County and included muultiple counts of misdemeanor burglary, theft and criminal damage to property as well as three counts of felony burglary and theft. The incidents happened between Oct. 27 and Dec. 27, 1999, and were combined in one case.

"an Emporia may may be linked to thefts" Gee, MY spellchecker catches these mistakes. Maybe the Gazette does not have a spellchecker on their computers.

"The incidents happened between Oct. 27 and Dec. 27, 2999" How could they convict him for thefts that will occur 990 years from now?

Getting back to the meat of the article, this gives pause for rethinking parole, doesn't it? This worthless bum is a career criminal and needs to spend a good long time in prison after this.

"too fast" ????? I don't think Gwen ment to say "Sorry Justwandering. Apparently my fingers were flying also fast yesterday." She used the correct to. to too two.
to = to fast
too = me too or I would, also...
two= 2

Nope, I used the wrong "to." Crack is right; should have been "too."

Please don't tell my boys... I really do want them to think I know what I'm talking about when I quote grammar rules to them.

May I go home now? ;-)
