WE ARE IN the middle of our annual United Way fundraising drive.
Why should I give to the United Way? Many of you are finding yourselves asking this question, and a good question it is. We are very fortunate to have 24 worthwhile and hard working agencies that could each find numerous answers to this question. For me, it’s easy. I continue to see the hard work and dedication of the agencies and their caring for many people in our communities. Unfortunately, the needs in our communities continue to rise. These agencies do programming that help fulfill a wide variety of these needs.
Our theme this year is “Advancing the common good. ... Live United.” Living united is something that we have heard about for generations. Some cultures seem to practice this better than others. I feel the communities we serve are very caring and as we continue to raise these important funds we are advancing the common good. As we do so, we LIVE UNITED.

You can donate by participating in the drive at your place of work, send a check to the United Way office at 702 Commercial, Suite E, or call the United Way office at 342-7564 to set up payments. Thank you for sharing your hard earned dollars, not only with these agencies, but most importantly, the people they serve.
