The Emporia Social Service Club meets from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month at Fourth Ave. and Merchant St. (excluding summer months). The SSC is a non-profit organization which sponsors Coats for Kids and Necessity Bags for the area schools, Baskets for Kids for Newman Hospital and Toy Store for needy families at Christmas.
