Up to owners

TO ALL non-smokers. If you do not like cigarette smoke, do not go to places where it is allowed. You have that choice.
Smokers also have a choice to go or not to go where smoking is not allowed.
The USA used to be a country or freedom of choice, not a dictatorship such as you are trying to impose with this issue.
To city commissioners: to be fair to all, you need to leave the smoking issue up to the individual owners, as to allow smoking or not to allow smoking.
Bars and restaurants should be able to have a choice in this matter, with signs on the door that advise that “This is a smoking establishment” or a “No smoking” sign.
That being said, everyone has the choice to go in or stay out.

Sorry but if everything was left up the owners there would be a great deal of safety and health hazards not addressed. People and lawmakers decide regulation and policy, government enforces it. And by people I mean the majority, minority does not get to choose what it can and cannot obey, its been this way since our country was founded.

Same tired argument. We all know that this has nothing to do with safety or health. Go ahead and respond with your completely unrelated tirades about food quality and equal opportunity etc.
This is about property rights and revenue. Business owners should be allowed to cater to the customers that they want to draw to their business. Its been this way since our country was founded. The ban solves a problem that doesn't exist.
