Sosa leads EHS tennis team at Olathe South

The Emporia High tennis team traveled to Olathe South on Monday and went 6-2 in matches against Olathe South and Spring Hill.
The Spartans split in singles and doubles with Olathe South. Jordon Sosa won in No. 2 singles and Kaitlin Pedersen and Whitney Page won in No. 1 doubles.
Emporia went 4-0 against Spring Hill. Sosa and the doubles team of Pedersen and Page won again to secure a perfect record on the day. Emporia’s No. 1 singles player Rose Nasrazadani won in three sets against Seskia Spieselbuurg of Spring Hill and the No. 2 doubles team of Kelli Sippola and Kaitlin Gile won a tiebreaker in the first set and went on to win the second set to win their match against Spring Hill.
The Spartans play again today at the Washburn Rural Invitational at 3 p.m.
