Smoke-choice proponents
A meeting for people opposed to a proposed smoking-ban ordinance will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at Josie’s, 19 E. Sixth Ave., according to an announcement by Josie’s owner, Matt Slater.
Slater said that people who oppose the smoking ban, for whatever reason, are welcome to attend and give their thoughts and opinions on the subject.

Democratic potluck
Lyon County Democrats will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Lyon County Democratic Headquarters, 829 1/2 Commercial St., for a potluck meal. Table service and beverages will be furnished.
