Friday Thoughts

Friday, September 19, 2008

Friday Thoughts is a light-hearted commentary.

WHEN Gov. Sarah Palin accepted the nomination to become vice president, who would have thought she would be setting fashion trends? But that is what has been happening. From her shoes to her eyeglasses, people have been clamoring to buy copies of her fashionable items.

If political figures are becoming fashionistas, this calls into question whether Emporia women will be eyeing former mayor and current city commissioner Julie Johnson for the latest fashion trends.

Wonderful. With women clamoring to purchase look-alikes, we'll have cookie-cutter "gals" all over the place.

I'm pretty sure Palin already fashioned her look after the lady shrink that Tony saw on the "Sopranos". Dead ringer. Style and all. :)

I really do wish more people were concerned with what both candidates actually stand for than what they look like and wear. /sigh

Feeding the animal from my perspective, this gets enough press as it is. Plenty of other things to expound on.
