Madison gets USDA grant for new storm siren

The city of Madison has been chosen as one of eight Kansas communities to receive loans and grants from the United States Department of Agriculture’s Community Facility Direct Loan and Grant program.
Madison has been approved for a grant of $5,950 for a storm siren for the community.
The grant was announced Monday by USDA Rural Development Director Chuck Banks. The eight communities will receive a total of $432,100 is grants and loans.
