Card shower
The family of Ruth Barnhart would like a card shower for her 90th birthday on Sunday. Cards may be sent to 1269H Road 160, Emporia KS 66801.
Volunteers needed
The Kansas State Historical Society is looking for volunteers to assist at the William Allen White House State Historic Site in Emporia.
Nick Gronseth, the site administrator, said the site, at 927 Exchange St., is entering a time of growth, with more tours and school groups visiting. Volunteers are needed for work with the public and behind the scenes. Duties available include conducting tours, helping with mailings, clerical work or helping with large groups and third-party events.
