Madison wins rainout game

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Madison had to wait three days because of a weather postponement to play its game against Flinthills.

That didn’t seem to bother the Bulldogs’ offense, as they coasted to a 50-14 win on Monday at home.

Caleb Hamilton ran for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only 10 carries to lead a Madison offense that has scored 96 points in two games.

“We’ve got some athletic kids with Hamilton, (Michael) Luthi and (Henry) Ott,” coach Fred McClain said. “They’ve got some good speed and experience and our young offenisive line is coming together.”

McClain said his defense has also been impressive in the first two weeks. Sophomore linebacker Kale Shankie stood out on Monday, and Ott had two interceptions.

Madison improved to 2-0.
