Chase County got off to a nice start in the Flint Hills League last Friday against Herington, running the ball effectively without departed star Brian Palermo and scoring a 35-21 victory. This week, the Bulldogs will try to keep it going when they host West Franklin, a team that both coach Chase County coach Derrick Budke and West Franklin coach Chuck Lee believe is on the rise.
The Bulldogs piled up 343 yards on the ground against Herington and got 100-yard rushing performances out of both Johnny Lang (158) and Jesse Cole (104).
