try checking his source of income. if he was working his employer would have an emergency contact number for him, if he was on social security, then the social security office or srs might have that type of information on his paperwork.

this is a really sad, sad ending for this man who was struggling with his own demons...my husband and i had the privelage of getting to know this man at the worst time of his life..lewis told us he had left Wichita because he kept getting robbed and beaten up when he would get his disability check,he said the last time he was assaulted,he left wichita and just drove until he found a small town he could call home and be comfortable in..that town was Emporia..We would help him through his first month here by assisting him to find affordable housing and we went through our things to help him with his neccesities..and bought him food..we introduced him to the abundant harvest kitchen and the food pantry at the Salvation Army..my husband took him to SRS to apply for Food Stamps..my husband took him to the bank this past tuesday to get his rent money, only to find out that he was already overdrawn by overdraft fees and bank fees..he was a greatful man and was always so thankful for the help he could never sing enough praise...i am sorry though that we did not get any info on his family..he never talked about any...i hope someone, knows who they are...May He rest in peace..and move on to a better place..

slipandslide, I like your idea of a card and flowers, and I will even join you, but will there be a funeral if relatives can't be found? What a sad ending for a poor man just trying to escape the dregs of society.
