Army Sgt. 1st Class Michael M. Cole has arrived for duty at the U.S. Army Recruiting Station in Plainwell, Mich.
The sergeant, a recruiter with 22 years of military service, is assigned to the Great Lakes Recruiting Battalion.
He is the son of Gloria Stapleton of Market Street, Osage City, Kan.
Cole is a 1979 graduate of Burlington High School.
