I AM WRITING in support of candidate Carol Strickland’s campaign to be State Representative in the 76th district. Carol Strickland was one of the best teachers I have ever had and is also one of the greatest people I have the honor of knowing. In her 39 years of teaching, students were constantly inspired by her commitment to excellence, and I consider myself lucky to have been one of them. She never gave up on any of her students, and often she worked extra hours to help solve their personal and academic problems. I know it was often the due to the motivation provided by Mrs. Strickland which kept many students in good academic standing, working hard to pass their classes, and able to receive their diplomas.
In addition to the remarkable amount of time she dedicated to her students, Carol Strickland has alwaays valued community service. She continues to devote much of her time to serving on numerous committees and organizations that serve Emporia, the Lyon County area, and the state of Kansas. Her success in numerous leadership and volunteer positions proves she is enthusiastic to help, able to work and communicate effectively with a large variety of people, and determined to get tasks completed. Carol Strickland will listen to the concerns of the people of Lyon county and Kansas and will work with legislators to make sure the issues you find important are taken seriously.
A vote for Carol Strickland is a vote for a hard worker, a great communicator, and an overall wonderful person.
