EHS Top Seniors among honorees at KU Banquet

Twenty-nine Emporia High School seniors were among the students honored Monday night during the annual University of Kansas Honors Program banquet.
The KU Honors Program recognizes the top 10 percent of the senior class. EHS students invited to the banquet were: MaryAnne Alderman, Joel Bland, Zachariah Button, Joel Christiansen, Jared Dakin, Brian Dorsey, Ryan Dorsey, Erin East, Corinne Edds, Suzanne Gonzalez, Jasmine Greene, Hilary Heinrichs, Caitlin Hotzel, Claudia Jaimes, Derek Nielsen, Raelyn Pearson, Dayren Ramirez, Kristen Ranalli, Jose Rios, Seung-Yun Shin, Kelli Sippola, Michael Stauffer, Kimberly Thompson, Michelle Thompson, Jacob Torres, Rachelle VanGundy, Gabriel Waterman, Katherine Weaver and Aaron Wyatt.
The banquet at Emporia State University also recognized seniors from Burlington, Chase County, Council Grove, Hartford, Lebo, Northern Heights, Olpe, Southern Coffey County and Waverly high schools.
