The students of Village Elementary School took their message to the community Wednesday afternoon with a Red Ribbon Week march to proclaim that they are, and intend to remain, drug free.
The march went from the school down 15th Avenue to the Flinthills Mall parking lot, then back to the school.
The march is one of many anti-drug activities being conducted this week in Emporia schools.
In Emporia, Red Ribbon Week is a project of Emporians for Drug Awareness.
