Q What caused the power outage for about an hour and a half on the east side of town Monday evening? It looked like it was widespread, similar to the one the night before.
A “It looks like we had a problem with one of the poles,” said Karla Olsen, Director of Corporate Communications.
Olsen said that the specific cause of the problem was not identified. Typical problems, such as vehicle accidents breaking off poles or squirrels getting transformers, usually are entered into the records system and listed as causes. This outage is considered “cause unknown,” she said. The outage affected 822 customers, Olsen said.
