The Emporia High boys soccer team (8-6-1) will host its regional opener on Tuesday night against Hays (5-10) beginning at 6 p.m. at TRYSA Soccer Complex.
The winner will travel to Salina Central on Thursday to take on the winner between Central (14-2) and Highland Park (4-11).
“Our kids know that this is what we have been waiting for,” EHS coach Angel Cornejo said. “There is no tomorrow, and for seniors, there is no next year. This is it. We have to play our best soccer of the season.”

Congratulations EHS on last night's game! :). Too bad though that all the senior players didn't get the opportunity to play. We're proud of you all regardless. Those that did get the opportunity played an excellent game.
