Reading honors
Reading School has released its honor roll for the first nine weeks.
Students on the A honor roll are:
Eighth grade — Alexus Atchison.
Seventh grade — Fionna Colpan and Sydney DeLong.
Sixth grade — Megan French and Sadie Goff.
Students on the B honor roll are:
Eighth grade — Lindsee Colglazier, Jacob Decker, Crystal Geary, Melinda Heathman and Hannah Kaiser.
Seventh grade — Logan Fuller and Zack Potter.
Sixth grade — Ian Ballinger, Savannah Cox and Chance Jennings.
Music honors
Emporia High School students ranked high in competitions this month at Emporia State University’s first Marching Band Festival, held at Welch Stadium on the campus.
The EHS color guard placed first in its competition and the EHS marching band placed third, according to band director Bob Haselhuhn.
