The Chase County Leader-News reported that the Chase County Courthouse basement flooring refuses to stick. The contractor, Desco Flooring, applied the base layer of the flooring last week. However, as the base set up it bubbled and cracked. In some areas in the basement the base failed to adhere to the concrete floor and broke free. The representatives of the company said the material did not stick because of contaminants on the floor. The material will be removed as equipment that is needed to clean the floor won’t fit in the courthouse basement. The Chase County Board of Commissioners will consider options after the flooring has been removed.
