New foundation directors and officers

Jeff Longbine and Tracy Edwards recently completed their terms as members of the Flint Hills Technical College Foundation Board of Directors. Longbine served on the board from 2003-2008 and Edwards served on the board from 2005-2008. Both held various offices during their tenure.
Newly elected directors are Tom C. Bell, Cottonwood Falls, and Troy Estes, St. Joe, MO. Bell is Executive Vice President of Exchange National Bank in Cottonwood Falls. Estes is President of Vektek, Inc. Newly elected officers are: Dr. Stephen Haught, Chairman; Larry Scott, Vice Chair; Lisa Kirmer, Secretary; Tom Bell, Treasurer; Lisa Kirmer, Asst. Treasurer. Other board members include: D.J. Glaser, Pete Madrigal and Dave Markowitz, Paula Taylor, Rex Williams, Larry Green, Dr. Dean Hollenbeck, and Chris Matson.
The Flint Hills Technical College Foundation was created in 1994 with a sizeable endowment and funds from a scholarship program established by teachers, students and advisory board members to recognize students for leadership and academic excellence. Since that time the foundation has continued to grow through gifts from generous supporters of Flint Hills Technical College. Since 1994, the Foundation has awarded over $380,000 in scholarships and awards. The mission of the Flint Hills Technical College Foundation is to assist students through scholarships and to support the mission of the college by enhancing educational opportunities that lead to employment and continuous learning.
