Lyon County commissioners had a light agenda Thursday during their weekly action session at the Lyon County Courthouse.
Commissioners discussed a sidewalk complaint at 420 W. 15th Ave. at the Lyon County Health Department and Flint Hills Community Health Center. The sidewalk has some collapsed panels and has accumulated mud and silt, said Marshall Miller, commission vice-chair. The area of the sidewalk affected is about 764 square feet.
Commissioners voted to enter into a contract with the hazardous sidewalk program for $1,462.50 for repair of the sidewalk.
In other business:
• Commissioners approved Jeff Cope, security supervisor, to purchase a monitor for the front desk security at the Lyon County Courthouse.
• Commissioners authorized the chairman to sign an animal control contract between the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Allen.
• Commissioners authorized a purchase of a used SUV for up to $18,000 for the Sheriff’s Office.
• Commissioners authorized the chair to sign the 2008 unexpended core funding for Community Corrections for use in fiscal year 2009.
