Andre Sloan El threw for a career-high 300 yards but Sloan El did not get a chance to get the ball with a chance to tie late as the Griffons' offense ran out the clock. Emporia State falls to 3-5 on the season and 1-5 in the MIAA. For complete coverage, check Monday's Gazette.

Halftime
Emporia State’s offense finally started to move the ball in the final minute of the first half, but the drive was stopped by an Andre Sloan El interception and Missouri Western leads 28-0 at halftime.
Sloan El had two targets on the final drive. Bryant Linsey had his first two catches of the season in the first half and backup quarterback Zach Rampy caught a pass on the Hornets final drive.
