Burlington

The Coffey County Republican reported that the Burlington City Council sold old Christmas decorations. The city received two bids for the Christmas decorations, both from Yates Center. One bid was for 50 decorations and one for 35. The council accepted the $3,250-bid for the 50 lighted decorations. The pole-mounted decorations are the old-fashioned scroll design with lamp, garland and 120 or 240-volt lights.
