Fourth quarter

Corey Bacon's third TD run of the game, this one coming from 21 yards out, made it 40-0 Emporia over Topeka West with 8:55 left in the game. A toss to Brian Keisler for the 2-point conversion attempt was stopped short of the end zone

Third quarter

A 57-yard option keep run by Taylor Euler pushed Emporia's lead to 34-0 with 2:06 remaining in the quarter. Euler ran untouched down the left side.

Corey Bacon's 24-yard scoring run on Emporia's opening drive of the second half made it 28-0. That run was Bacon's second score of the game.

First half

Corey Bacon ripped off a 93-yard scoring run down the right side with 6.9 seconds remaining in the first half to push Emporia High's lead over Topeka West to 21-0 at halftime.

Bacon's run came off a play-action dive fake to Mark Kolmer. The Spartans earlier scored on an 18-yard pass from Taylor Euler to Brian Keisler and a two-yard TD run by Kolmer.

EHS blocked two punts in the first half. The first, by Josh Maguire, set up the pass from Euler to Keisler.
