Halloween Express
The Sertoma Club will have candy and free rides on The Little Train in Soden’s Grove on Halloween in conjunction with the annual Boo in the Zoo celebration of the Emporia Friends of the Zoo.
Club president Bob Hush said the train will run from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., during the zoo event, and will continue running into the evening.
Club members decided to combine their efforts with those of EFOZ and turn the activities in Soden’s Grove into a big event.
“This is something new for us,” Hush said. “We’re not going to stop at 5:30. We’re going to continue on until people stop coming.”
