Praise Band Christian Music Festival
The Emporia Presbyterian Manor will be the host for the first Praise Band Christian Music Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 18 (Saturday) on the manor grounds. The free event is open to the community and will feature seven musical acts, art and motorcycle displays and concessions.
Musical acts include Solid Rock from 10-11:10 a.m.; A20, 11 a.m.-12:20 p.m.; Pledge 2 Worship from 12:20 p.m.-1:30 p.m. ; Sacred Heart Via Crucis, 1:30-2:40 p.m.; La Esperanza, 2:40-3:50 p.m.; St. James Missionary Baptist Church, 3:50 p.m.; First Baptist Church, 5 p.m., all of Emporia.
Also, the Emporia Arts Council Art Mobile will be present with displays from local artists and the Christian Motorcycle Club will showcase its members’ motorcycles. Food and beverages will be available from a concession stand operated by the Alzheimer’s Association and the Hi-Noon Kiwanis Club.
Attendees are invited to bring blankets and lawn chairs for their comfort. Parking is available at the manor, 2300 Industrial Road, with spillover parking and shuttle service offered at the First Church of the Nazarene, 2934 W. 24th Ave.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be held inside the manor.
