Emporia Schools

BREAKFAST

Monday: No school, teacher in-service.

Tuesday: biscuit and jelly or cereal and graham cookies.

Wednesday: oatmeal bar and muffin or cereal and graham cookies.

Thursday: powdered funnel cake or cereal and graham cookies.

Friday: No school, teacher in-service.

LUNCH

Monday: No school, teacher in-service.

Tuesday: hot ham and cheese sandwich on a bun, tater tots, broccoli, pineapple tidbits.

Wednesday: Bosco sticks, marinara sauce, tossed salad, tropical fruit, cake.

Thursday: chicken fajita meat, soft tortilla, Mexican rice, tossed salad, applesauce.

Friday: No school, teacher in-service.

Breakfast is served with juice and milk, lunch is served with milk.

Friendship Meals

Emporia

Friendship meals are served at noon at the Emporia Senior Center, 603 E. 12th Ave.

Reservations should be made one day in advance by calling the Senior Center, 343-3160, between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. For home delivery, call 340-8001.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: Pasta bake, tossed salad, corn, bread sticks, pears.

Tuesday: Swiss steak, scalloped potatoes, carrot-raisin salad, bread, cookie.

Wednesday: Chicken-fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, wheat roll, cake, ice cream.

Thursday: Tuna salad, potato soup, bun, strawberries.

Friday: Pork roast, candied sweet potatoes, peas, wheat roll, apricots.

North Lyon County

Friendship meals are served at noon at: the Americus Senior Center, 516 Locust St., (620) 443-5352 and the North Lyon County Senior Center at Allen, (620) 528-3414; Reading residents who want meals can call the North Lyon County Senior Center.

Reservations should be made by phone one day in advance.

These meals will be served next week.

Monday: Ham loaf, parslied potatoes, peas, bread, mixed fruit.

Tuesday: Baked fish, baked potato, Scandinavian blend vegetables, wheat bread, cherry crisp.

Wednesday: Hot roast beef sandwich, mashed potatoes, gravy, carrots, fruit marshmallow creme.

Thursday: Swiss steak, potatoes, corn with green pepper, bread, tropical fruit.

Friday: Chicken-fried chicken, noodles Romanoff, broccoli, peaches, bread pudding.
