Two women are being held in the Lyon County Jail for allegedly beating and robbing a 17-year-old girl on Sunday.
A Lyon County Sheriff’s deputy encountered the distraught girl walking at Roads 170 and D.
When questioned by the deputy, the girl reported being assaulted and having her cell phone taken, Undersheriff Richard Old reported.
The women allegedly accused the girl of stealing money during a party. They are accused of taking her to the country, where they beat on her, took her cell phone and left her.
“The deputy involved advised the supervisor on duty of the description of the victim’s assailants and vehicle description, and shortly thereafter a vehicle matching the description was stopped and two subjects were arrested,” Old said.
Lyrissa Alanis, 18, and Debbie Ultreras, 22, of Emporia are confined in the jail, pending the county attorney’s review of case reports to determine whether formal charges will be filed.
