All talk, no walk

SORRY, I CAN’T let your Sept. 8 column go without comment. Right off, let me assure you and anyone who reads or hears about my comments: I am no Russian supporter, the Russians should NOT have invaded the independent, sovereign country of Georgia.
But let’s, as Paul Harvey states, hear “... the Rest of the Story!”
The biggest bullies on the planet today work out of the White House, in Washington, D.C. Who in the world are bigger bullies than George Bush and Dick Cheney!
Your story should have stated condemnation for the “George and Dick Show” for wanting to put Anti-Missile Missiles in Poland! When you pick a fight with somebody, you deserve any beating you get. Also, if George and Dick didn’t like the Russians invading Georgia, why in hell didn’t they send bombers, missiles and troops in? Hell, they did it in Iraq!
Bullies like to pick on little people ... whom they know they’ve got the big edge on. That’s why Bush and Republicans really went after Iraq (no, it ain’t that I had any love for Saddam ... whatever he got, he deserved). Bush and McCain are war mongers! They love war ... bombing, killing innocent people! And the Republicans love it ... as Republicans, as a party, love to dominate weak people, women, old people, kids.
But, like most bullies, the bullies send others to do their dirty work: Witness — please tell me how many Republican senators and house members have served their country in the Military. In the Senate ... darn few! Close to hardly any! The House has a few More.
And take a look at Main Street business people ... you have to look long and hard to find this largely Republican group has any who’ve served their country!
Chickens! All talk, no walk!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!
I guess that's why the Republican party ended slavery, while the Democratic party was for it.
That's the bad thing about a democracy. People like this are actually allowed to vote.... :(
One last comment about this editoria:
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH.... oh good Lord, my side hurts....

Ok, but since you asked a question, to answer it:
http://www.whoserved.com/house.asp
In the House of Representatives:
Reps with military service: 22.4%
Reps without military service: 77.6%
Military Service in the US House of Representatives by Party:
Republicans with military service: 12.5%
Democrats with military service: 9.9%
Independants with military service: 0%
And, from the same site, Senate members who have military experience:
Republicans: 16
Democrats: 13
Would someone who lives close to Gary please go check on him & his meds? I'm worried he may have mixed a few of the more potent ones....

I don't much care for your referral to women as "weak people". Maybe we need to send Sarah Palin to straighten you out!

I'm at least glad he brought up how many members of congress have military experience. Of course, he was 180 degrees off, but I had no idea, so it was an interesting stat to look up - now we know.
Seriously, though. You mix some meds in the right combination and it can be really bad for your health....

That was the most inaccurate, idiotic, biased, lying piece of left-wing radical drivel I have ever read!! This guy needs a reality check, followed closely by a mental health check, followed by a check to purchase a plane ticket to Russia, where he might be much happier!

yeah, uh....we didn't invade Iraq because Russia was there.
I went to Iraq, and when we went door to door looking for bad guys, that didn't typically include weak people, women, old people, and kids. Generally they were military-aged males with enough mental capacity to decide that they wanted to be a part of a terrorist organization. So having been there and done that, I can say that this dude's opinion is basically erroneous.

stryker1_25, I'm going to have to disagree with one thing you said. You said this guy is "basically" erroneous.
Just "Basically"???? He didn't get one single thing right! He couldn't even get which party has more congressmen with military service right!
Just pickin' at ya, stryker - I just wanted a good excuse to post and thank you for your service to our country. You have my respect and gratitude.

If we start wars, particularly those of choice based on faulty logic, the old men (and women) who vote for it should be the first into combat if they think it's that important to go to war. Then, the youngsters can watch and learn from their mistakes.

I can think of at least three right off the top of my head. Four counting me.
I am trying to think of a way to say this without getting it deleted, and I am having a hard time coming up with the words. Here's the best I can do:
Gary(mister is to polite), I don't like you very much at all right now, and I very much disagree (gulp) with your opinions, and find them extremely arrogant and ignorant.
