Annual book sale
The Friends of the Emporia Public Library will hold its annual Fall Book Sale Oct. 17 through Oct. 22 at the library, 110 E. Sixth Ave.
The sale will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 17; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 18; 2 to 5 p.m. Oct. 19; and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 20 (all items half-price), Oct. 21 (sales at $4 per grocery-sized bag) and Oct. 22, ($2 per bag). Items for sale include books for adults, teens and children, videos, DVDs, compact discs and more.
A special sale will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Oct. 16 for the Life members of the Friends of the Library. Regular Friends of the Library members may shop from 5 to 8 p.m. Memberships will be sold at the door throughout the evening.
