Democrat Carol Strickland this week received the endorsement of the Kansas Credit Union Legislative Action Committee, according to a news release from Angie Miller, manager of the Emporia State Federal Credit Union.
Miller presented a campaign contribution from the committee to Strickland, who is running against incumbent Peggy Mast of Emporia, currently the 76th District state representative.
Strickland also has been endorsed by the Kansas Sierra Club, Kansas Families for Education, Kansans for Lifesaving Cures, the Six Rivers Uniserv District, and the Life Sciences Fund of the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, the news release stated.
She earlier was endorsed by the Kansas National Education Association, which also endorsed Republican incumbent Jim Barnett for the 17th District state senate seat and Republican incumbent Don Hill for the 60th district seat in the Kansas House.
