Samla, whose age is unknown, was not wearing a safety restraint, according to a report from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Samla was a passenger in a 1995 Oldsmobile driven by Raghu Samla, 36, also of White City, KHP reported. Raghu Samla was taken by ambulance to Morris County Hospital in Council Grove. He was wearing a safety restraint.

Two children in the vehicle, Vinusha Samla, 5, and Varish Samla, 6 months, also were taken to Morris County Hospital for treatment. Vinusha was wearing a safety restraint; Varish was not, according to the report.

The accident happened about 3:35 p.m. as Raghu Samla was driving south on 2100 Road. As the vehicle passed H Avenue, Samla lost control going over a hill. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times.
