Friday Thoughts

Friday, November 21, 2008

Friday Thoughts is a light-hearted commentary.

THE BIG NEWS this week was that Emporia authorities finally captured one of Emporia’s most wanted.

For four days, a wild turkey terrorized the west side town. Dodging in and out of traffic on our busy streets, and going around town pecking on cars. The turkey was awfully brazen, considering Thanksgiving is just days away.

With this terrorizing turkey evading capture for four days, city leaders may need to discuss whether we need to give our law enforcement special training on apprehending turkeys.

Heck, they catch turkeys all the time. Just look at the Daily Report for all the speeders, Wrong Wayers and Domestic Violence.
