Bah! Humbug!

Monday, November 17, 2008

WHERE TO START? Land of the Free? What country would that be? Certainly not in the same United States that I grew up in (a small town near Emporia in the ’50s and ’60s). A la Wall Street/Federal Reserve bankers/U.S. Treasury, our jobs were exported, our borders opened, our media controlled, our elected officials coerced one way or another and finally the resulting inflated toxic debt, sliced, diced, bundled and then shipped all over the world. They have taken over and are controlling every market we have, including our stock market. We, as citizens and consumers have gone right along with all this greed and graft.

Now our elected officials have allowed these same big time greedsters to put us trillions more dollars in debt. It would probably make me cry if I wasn’t so sure that the U.S. will wind up defaulting or the almighty dollar is going to end up worthless. Two wonderful outcomes. All this while us “sheople” argue back and forth as to who is to blame, Democrats or Republicans. Well, fellow sheople, both are to blame. Much as I dislike George W., the Democrats are right there with him.

If anyone thinks that the new president is going to be the answer to our problems, power to them. The above powers made sure that we were given the choices that they wanted. We’ll pretty much get what we deserve for letting them get away with it. After thinking it over, the Democrats are to blame — no, surely the Republicans are to blame. At least that’s the way it looks from where I’m sitting.

Amen, Mr. Linn. I feel your pain and agree with every word you wrote. We live in a world gone mad.

I do appreciate the Gazette (Mr. Kelly) printing my letter, but I am disappointed that Mr. Kelly would use a title like "Bah Humbug". I am afraid we are in for some very difficut times. I am only trying so say something that I think Mr. Kelly could be warning his readers about........This is not the first time Mr. Kelly has treated a letter from me in this manner. The last time he printed my letter on Thanksgiving Day, I believe, and used a similarly derogatory title.

Took me forever to get in here Grrrrrr
Very interesting that you didn’t title your letter? You know….
Just keep us fighting amongst one another and nothing will ever get accomplished….
And the best way to get noticed is to act a fool of yourself….
Did you know that idiocracy played at the same time as one of the prez debates….
Take your new drivers license and flip it over and with a magnified glass look at it….
Well I guess, if anything is worth crying over… You did forget one very “Unimportant” thing….
Shhhh everyone give peace to your fellow Americans for protecting the construction that is silently burning…s8t ping sound gtg
