Olpe will travel for its second-round playoff game on Saturday afternoon, while Madison will host its second-round showdown with undefeated Goessel.
Following their 61-6 victory over Chase County on Tuesday, Olpe’s Eagles (9-0) will travel to Pleasanton (8-2) for a 4 p.m. game in the Class 2-1A playoffs. Pleasanton, the runner-up in District 7, defeated West Elk 45-14 on Tuesday night.
If Olpe beats Pleasanton, the Eagles will play on Friday, Nov. 14 against the winner between St. Marys (8-2) and Troy (9-1).
Madison (10-0) will host Goessel (10-0) at 3 p.m. Saturday in a matchup between the top two teams in 8-Man I. Goessel beat Flinthills 46-0 in its opening-round game. The winner will move on next Friday to take on the winner between Baileyville B&B (10-0) and Claflin (8-2).
