Lunch in Melvern
The Melvern United Methodist Church monthly Penny Lunch will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church. An elevator is at the front of the church; those who need assistance can call down the stairs. Sandwiches, a variety of salads, deviled eggs, homemade pies and ice cream will be served. This is the final Penny Lunch for the season.
Soup & bazaar in Miller
The Miller United Methodist Women will have the annual soup supper and bazaar at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the church.
Bazaar in Lebo
The Lebo United Methodist Women will have the annual bazaar Saturday at the church fellowship hall in Lebo. From 7 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., the Men’s Breakfast group will serve sausage gravy, biscuits, hash browns, juice and coffee, (donations accepted). The cinnamon roll and coffee bar (donations accepted) and the bazaar will open at 8:30 a.m. The bazaar booths will feature fall and Christmas decorations and ornaments, crafts, needlework, baked goods and a men’s variety booth. Lunch will be served at 11 a.m. and will feature soups, sandwiches, pies and coffee, with each item priced separately and/or a “meal deal,” according to the press release. At 5 p.m., there will be a turkey and roast beef dinner with “all the trimmings” and pie, with free will donations accepted. Proceeds will benefit local and area mission work sponsored by the UMW.
Soups at Reading
The Reading United Methodist Church women will serve a ham and bean and homemade soup dinner at noon Sunday at the church. The menu includes potato soup, chili, apple desserts and ice cream. The cost is $6 or a canned good donation can be made to the Bishop’s Round Up for Food for a value of $1 each can.
