Computer classes
Free summer computer classes will be offered by the Emporia Public Library from 2 to 2:30 p.m. in the library large meeting room. To make reservations, call 340-6462. Class size is limited to 14 people.
Classes and dates at the library are: audiobooks online, 2 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, basic computer skills required; computer basics, July 10 and Aug. 1; word processing: June 10, July 14 and Aug. 14; basic Internet searching, June 19, July 22 and Aug. 11; basic e-mail, June 24; basic spreadsheet, July 1; and computer safety and security, Aug. 27.
Free classes offered at Emporia State University’s White Library are audioBooks online, 2 to 2:30 p.m., Wednesday and 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday; and wikis and blogs, 2 to 2:30 p.m., July 9 and 7 to 8:30 p.m. July 10.
A free class offered at Flint Hills Technical College Library is homework help, 7 to 8:30 p.m., Aug. 20 and 21.
